Visma Advisor is the firm-side equivalent of Fortnox Byråstöd on the other half of the Swedish SMB market. Visma's Spcs line (eEkonomi, Administration, Lön) is the second-largest SMB ledger footprint in the country, and Visma Advisor is the suite that firms use to run practice operations over that client base: project and engagement management, time reporting, invoicing, client register, task orchestration, and byrå-specific document storage.
Visma's published pricing arrangement is a distinctive competitive lever: the practice suite is free to firms whose clients hold their own Visma agreements above a threshold, which effectively turns Visma's end-client base into the firm's distribution. That economics does not exist in the same shape at Fortnox, Hogia, or Wolters Kluwer, and it is the main reason Visma Advisor retains a strong share of mid-sized practices even where Capego and Fortnox are gaining ground.
The product is stable, mature, and conservative. AI features are arriving through Visma's wider AI programme rather than as a Visma Advisor-specific story. For the Swedish firm buyer, the practical choice between Fortnox Byråstöd and Visma Advisor is usually decided by which ledger the practice's core client base already runs, not by product-feature parity.
