About
An independent index of a fast-moving category.
The Agentic Accounting Index is a quarterly, editorially independent ranking of agentic accounting tools, structured country-by-country because accounting is irreducibly local. It exists because the category has grown past the point where "there are some AI bookkeeping tools" is a useful summary, but no authoritative ranking sits above the vendor-written comparisons that dominate search results.
What we cover
- Agentic-native ledgers (Puzzle, Digits, Rillet, Pilot, Truewind, Zeni, Docyt).
- AI-augmented incumbents (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Fortnox, Visma).
- Specialists across AP, AR, close, tax, audit, workflow, and FP&A copilots.
- Country-specific challengers in each market we cover (Bokio, Zimply, Lundify, Pagero, Qvalia, Palette in Sweden).
Editorial independence
- No vendor pays for inclusion, ranking, or editorial tone.
- No affiliate links, no sponsored slots on the leaderboards, no "featured" placements.
- See the Disclosures page for the current list of conflicts, if any.
- Corrections: if a fact is wrong, we fix it. If a score is wrong given the published methodology, we recompute it and note the change in the changelog.
Editorial cadence
Four issues per year, one per calendar quarter. Each issue republishes the full index with updated signals and publishes a changelog of movements since the prior issue. Between issues, we publish individual tool updates only when material (a large round, a major product launch, a regulatory shift that changes local fit).
