Fortnox Byråstöd is the firm-side control tower of Sweden's dominant SMB accounting ecosystem. Because Fortnox sits at more than 500,000 Swedish businesses, most revisionsbyrå clients already have their ledger there, and Byråstöd is the native answer for the firm to manage those clients without leaving the same platform. The product covers time reporting, resource planning, checklists, KYC / customer-due-diligence documentation, engagement-letter workflow, and billing — and it pushes the results back into the firm's own Fortnox entity so that time can be converted to an invoice in a single click.

For a Swedish practice whose book of business is predominantly Fortnox-based, Byråstöd is the default choice on integration depth alone. No external PM product — Karbon, TaxDome, Capego Practice Management — can match the same level of automatic client-data sync, because no other product sits inside Fortnox's own data surface.

The ceiling on Byråstöd is visible in two places. First, it is an end-to-end firm product only inside the Fortnox ecosystem — clients on Visma, Hogia, or Björn Lundén are second-class citizens. Second, the AI roadmap (document handling, categorisation suggestions, automated reminders) is being rolled into Fortnox's broader AI-assistant investment announced for 2026 and later, rather than into a dedicated firm-AI product.
