Capego is the closest thing Sweden has to a native end-to-end firm suite. Wolters Kluwer's Swedish tax-and-accounting arm has spent the last several years moving the legacy Byrå-series and audit tooling into the Capego brand: Capego Bokslut for year-end close, Capego Skatt for tax-return preparation, Capego Revision for audit engagements, and — as of 1 September 2025 — Capego Practice Management as the cloud-native workflow, client-data, task-management, invoicing, and compliance layer that ties the modules together.
For a Swedish revisionsbyrå, that bundle is unusual in the market. The incumbent alternative is a patchwork: Fortnox Byråstöd for client collaboration plus separate audit, close, and tax software. Capego's integration with Fortnox specifically — client synchronisation and assignment-status handoff via the Capego-Fortnox connector — reduces the friction of the most common real-world topology in Sweden, where the client runs Fortnox and the firm runs audit and close tooling outside it.
The agentic overlay is still early, and the dominant signal so far is architectural — a single data model across the close, audit, and tax modules, rather than AI features per se. For the Swedish buyer, Capego is the credible Wolters Kluwer answer to "can we run the whole firm on one product?", competing most directly with Hogia's and Björn Lundén's firm suites.
